Facebook Founder, Mark Zuckerberg, Launches Internet.org in Ghana. More Details

Image
Ok. So Facebook got into partnership with Airtel to bring all Ghanaian some free bees pertaining internet access for education, health, jobs and more. Read Mark Zucherberg message below to find out more. Today we're launching Internet.org in Ghana -- giving people on the Airtel network access to free basic internet services for education, health, jobs and communication. By connecting everyone, we hope to unlock even more opportunities for Ghana and people like Dauda Musa, pictured here. Dauda runs a mobile money transfer business in Accra, and as the number of people with mobile phones has grown over the past few years, more people are using his service for business or to share money with friends and family. Ghana is the fifth country we’ve connected through Internet.org -- after Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya and Colombia. Thank you to our community for your support and for pushing to bring Internet.org to more countries as we continue on our path to connect the whole world.

New "WhatsApp Web" Client Release Allows You to Chat From Your PC Browser

Image
Facebook-owned WhatsApp is available across a variety of mobile operating systems but, until today, there still wasn’t an easy and unified way to experience it from the desktop. WhatsApp just solved part of that problem with a new client called “WhatsApp Web.” Interested WhatsApp users simply need to open Chrome and navigate to web.whatsapp.com to get started. On the site, you’ll see a QR code that you’ll scan using a BlackBerry, Android, Symbian or Windows Phone device. WhatsApp says that it doesn’t work for iOS users right now “due to Apple platform limitations.” So long as you’re connected to the Internet from your phone, however, you’ll be able to chat from the Web interface. Everything is saved directly on your phone; this is basically just a mirror representation of what’s happening on your device. Hit the source to give the new interface a whirl, just be sure to update to the latest version of WhatsApp first. Source:  WhatsApp
