Google Is Reinventing the Internet to Make It 1000 Times Faster

Google is presently in the process of engineering internet connections which can attain a whopping speed of 10GB per second. Yes, you read it right, soon there will be an internet connection that will be approximately 1000 times faster than the existing 1GB per second internet connections.   Well, this news might act like salt on wounds as internet in India is one of the slowest in the world and, the invention, if successful, will be only limited to America.

Just in case, if you are not aware - certain American cities already have super sonic 1GB per second internet speed. Google introduced "Google Fibre" which propels a speed of 1GB per second (fastest in the world) in cities of Kansas and Tennessee in 2012 and soon, Texas and Utah will be added to the list. The 1GB per second internet is made possible by using FTTP (fibre to the premises). Revelation of Google's plan and progress came from it's Chief Financial Officer Patrick Pichette at the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet conference held in San Francisco.
But don't get excited yet. Google will take another 10 years to successfully invent this supersonic internet and make it public. The CFO confirmed the 10 year waiting period by saying "Google Fiber is currently moving at a 10-year pace, which means that the service will achieve high speed of 10 Gbps only by 2022". The current average speed on internet in majority of American cities is 7.5 Mbps, but it seems that with Google at the dig, it is soon going to drastically change for America, and then for the rest of the world.
